The best choice for large rainwater tanks

Bob and Ann Best from Cooyar, QLD

Bob and his wife Ann own a home in the small rural town of Cooyar, near Dalby in QLD. The couple are totally reliant on rainwater catchment for their domestic water supply, but held concerns that their existing tanks would not hold enough water to maintain a reasonable lawn and garden.

Buying an additional tank should have been a reasonably straightforward process—certainly Bob and Ann had their choice of tanks from many companies.

However, Bob was determined to purchase a tank large enough to significantly boost their home’s water storage capacity. He wanted to ensure that this purchase would meet all their future water needs.

Frustratingly, the couple found that not all companies could offer the size of tank they required.

The Bests stumbled across Pioneer Water Tanks at ‘Farm Fest’ Toowoomba, where local dealer Divine Water Tanks had some great-looking models on display.

Most importantly for Bob, Divine offered a wide variety of tank sizes — including a larger rural tank to suit his needs.

“After approaching the staff for advice and information, I found them very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and professional,” he says.

However, it was ultimately the fair water tank price and delivery time that reassured the couple they were making the right decision.

Bob and Ann eventually opted for a GT110 (110,000 litre) water tank to meet the needs of their home and garden, which Divine was ready to install just over a month later.

When it came time for the tank’s installation, Bob was impressed that even a small hiccup in the tank’s delivery from WA didn’t affect the agreed-upon completion date.

“I thank them for that,” he says.

“The 3-man team of installers were very friendly and efficient, answering all my questions on the day. They worked from early morning until almost sundown to ensure completion.”

Bob and Ann were pleased to find their water woes could be solved with such “a minimum of fuss,” telling Pioneer: “I have nothing but high praise for Sandy Hughes from Divine Water Tanks and her team. It was a pleasure to do business with your company.”

The Bests made a smart decision in contacting an expert for advice on their unique situation.
